Toyota's Upcoming Checkmate of GM

Toyota announced on Tuesday that they are planning to build 9.06 million cars in 2006. This is directly aimed at the current No. 1 automaker General Motors, which continues to lose money and global market share. GM is expected to produce 9.1 million vehicles this year although that number is likely to drop starting in 2006 due to the closure of nine assembly plants and 30,000 job cuts.
